BREAKING NEWS: Longo’s Announces Organizational Structure Changes

Longo’s announced organizational structure changes as part of its 10-year plan to drive long-term growth.

The changes build on an earlier announcement in February when Deb Craven assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

The sales team changes

Mimmo Franzone and Joey Bernaudo have been named vice presidents of merchandising. Bernaudo will also oversee the Meat and Seafood team and Roger St. Onge is promoted to Senior Category Manager, Meats and Seafood. Franzone will also be responsible for Grocery, Dairy and Frozen Food. in addition to his current merchandising responsibilities.

George Maia is promoted to director of merchandising, grocery, dairy and frozen foods. Meat and Seafood Manager Brian Langley is retiring in May after a 32-year career at Longo’s.

Changes in company management

Joseph Longo, vice president real estate and general counsel, will focus on the growth pillar of the business, executing Longo’s real estate strategy to enter new markets and solidify its position in existing markets.

Alex Green transitions to a new role of Chief Experience Officer responsible for creating and executing an integrated omnichannel customer experience. He now leads a strategic planning process and a customer experience roadmap paired with integrated marketing, communication and loyalty strategies.

KC Shendelman is promoted to Vice President of Marketing to increase the leadership and impact of Longo brand storytelling and experiences.

Mark Sheehan becomes senior director of e-commerce and digital, with responsibility for e-commerce reporting to COO Deb Craven.
